Foundation Launch

In Good Faith Foundation has emerged from eighteen years of significant service to thousands of survivors’, their families and community members in Victoria, Australia and internationally.  The new charitable Foundation will sustain and support our services well into the future.

We appreciate the following notable social justice contributors to the Launch event on August 20, 2014 in Melbourne, Australia:

Hon Rob Hulls is the Director of the Centre for Innovative Justice RMIT and Former Victorian Deputy Premier and Attorney-General (1999-2010). His continuing advocacy includes the application of restorative justice values and practice.  Our Foundation focuses on a developing restorative justice practice to assist individual victims, their families and communities to engage in restorative dialogues and forums to aid clergy abuse recovery.

Paul Holdway is the President of the Foundation and Managing Director of Lewis Holdway Lawyers, Melbourne.  In 2010, Paul was awarded the Law Institute of Victoria ‘Access to Justice’ Award for long standing work with victims of clergy abuse.

Helen Last is the CEO and founder of the new Foundation with twenty eight years of expertise working with clergy abuse survivors, their families and communities.  As a Pastoral Advocate and former Director of In Good Faith and Associates for eighteen years, Helen continues to promote pro-victim responses across government, police, social welfare, trauma practitioners, members of faith communities, global media and the wider community.

Father Bob Maguire AM, RFD is a social activist and community welfare advocate.  He co-founded Open Family in 1978 and the Fr Bob Maguire Foundation 2003.  Fr Bob served the Parish of South Melbourne for more than three decades.  His dedication to improving the lives of others has made him an inspiration throughout Australia.

Pam Krstic, Jim Boyle, Peter Kaufman, Catherine Arthur, Melbourne Victims’ Collective (MVC).  The MVC represents over 70 members who are survivors, their families, faith community members and professional practitioners working collaboratively to support recovery through survival acknowledgement and mission.  Pam, Jim, Peter and Catherine contribute significant expertise as the MVC’s elected link to the Foundation.
